GenesisIG Version 10 is the flagship product from Diamond Visionics, representing the highest quality rendering and feature set for the most demanding simulation and visualization needs.

Like all 3-D scene products made with GenesisRT, GenesisIG creates high quality 3-D scenes at 60Hz directly from Open GIS formats without the need for additional expensive tools or steps to format the source data into complex optimized formats.

Instead GenesisIG uses user defined XML maps to produce 3D scenes from the source data on your disk in real-time.We call this process: "Dynamic Construction." Meaning that what you see is your native data and in seconds for any location on the world so you can start flying at 60 HZ update rates to anywhere else you want on the world.

Being fast is one thing, but with GenesisIG Version 10, the user has full control of what will be rendered in the scene by using a newly developed drag-n-drop process of educating the tools on how to build the 3-D scenes from your data. This simple and safe method of defining how your data will be published in real-time means for the first time it is "Ok to Play" since at no time are you modifying your source data and your previous acceptable 3-D scenes are only a small XML file away. So in minutes you switch between a RFT (ready for training) fully tested 3-D scenes and customized versions of those 3-D scenes using the latest vector, imagery, and elevation information.

The power of GenesisIG can be seen in that one copy of the source data can be used to produce correlated surface, air, space, and ground 3D simulations. This is possible since all the domains are sharing the same common source data and GenesisIG is optimizing the 3D scene in real-time based on the real-time representation requirements of each domain and based on the User defined XML files of how the assembler should process the common source data. Change the source and all the domains are still correlated since GenesisIG works on the source files themselves and not copies.

This means for the first time End Users can modify the 3-D terrain without concern. Add new imagery, add new elevation data, add new vector data, and upgrade models without worry since GenesisIG can revert to the previously version of the data in seconds. Keeping both versions also does not require duplicating the stored data either, since GenesisIG in real-time selects the best "user selected" data from your project and automatically scales to render that information, making two different versions of the database as simple as two different project files looking at the same single copy of your source data but being 3-D rendered in entirely different ways.

Being Easy-to-use, easy-to-upgrade, and efficient to setup did not compromise the features or performance of GenesisIG.

GenesisIG directly off the media can perform the following functions:

  • Provide real-time shadows based on features and terrain casting
  • Read, optimize, and render Geocentric Round Earth from DTED, JPEG2K, and other elevation formats
  • Read, optimize, and render Geo-specific imagery over the entire planet from ECW, JPEG2K, and other imagery formats
  • Read, optimize, and render ESRI Shape Vectors data on the earth (roads, rivers, buildings, trees, etc.)
  • Read, parametrically build, and render all airports found in NGA DAFIF
  • Modify the elevation data in real-time based on user defined rules (flatten roads, rivers, lakes, airport, etc.)
  • Parametrically scatter, buffer, and place 3-D objects that are aware of their slope, elevation, and location
  • Particle simulation using shaders for realism and control of smoke, contrails, wakes, brownout, dust clouds, explosions, and other animations
  • Physics based Ephemeris model and constellation map
  • Particle based fog, haze, and Volumetric clouds for slant range accumulation visibility, lighting, and color effects
  • 3-D oceans and large bodies of water based on geometric shaders technology
  • Light points with support for real-time placed light pools
  • Multiple threaded mission function engine for height-above-terrain, collision, and line-of-sight
  • Optional integrated JRM SIGSIM and SENSIM physics based Night Vision and FLIR simulations

What this all means is concentrate on the final product, not the construction.

GenesisIG Dynamic Construction
removes the need to worry about the construction of the database (paging blocks, level of details (LODs), transition ranges, etc.) and instead allows you to focus on the quality of your end product. Using the limited resource of time you would have spend on making proprietary formats and figuring out complex database concepts instead to make your 3-D models, generic textures, and source data more accurate and more immersive (realistic).
